Gravure packaging printing: artwork and cylinder costs
Prepare artwork for gravure packaging printing, approve content and clarify cylinder charges before production starts.
Start with the correct artwork version
Send artwork with pack dimensions, print content and colour requirements. Clearly distinguish review files from production-approved files. If there are several flavours, sizes or languages, list each version so content is not confused between products.
Approve content and specifications together
Check the product name, logo, spelling, figures and placement before approval. Match artwork dimensions to the agreed pouch or rollstock specification. For barcodes or QR codes, supply the brand-approved code and agree sample checks. Nominate one person to confirm the final approved file.
Clarify cylinder costs in the quotation
At An Vinh, cylinders are prepared to approved artwork and priced per order. Ask which charges cover cylinders and which cover packaging production, and what happens when the artwork changes. For repeat orders, discuss cylinder retention, reuse and the applicable conditions in advance.
Confirm timing once the brief is complete
Samples and production timing are confirmed against the specifications, artwork and order plan. Ask which milestones require customer approval and which changes may require the schedule to be reviewed. Keep the approval, quotation and final correspondence together for purchasing, design and production teams.
What to put in your next brief
- Send artwork and a list of print versions.
- Agree who approves the final sample and content.
